Busingen’s «Bible College» – what it is and what it does.
The Nazarene Church is a protestant free church that operates in more than 120 countries. Here in Buesingen, it is represented by two important facilities.
First, there is the

European Nazarene College

European Nazarene Bible College
(known as “Bible School”). This is the European preacher’s seminar of the protestant free church. Since 1965 preachers and employees from all over the world who do not only work for the Nazarene Church but also for the Protestant National Church, Methodists, Baptists etw., get their education here (at the moment there are about 50 students from 20 different countries). Due to the international character of the school, English is the common language and also the language of instruction.
There are presently 18 employees working for the Bible School. Further, the Nazarene Church also has a parish on the school premises. This parish is well taken care of by pastor Wilfried Ache and his wife Maria, in cooperation with the other religious denominations in Buesingen.

Eurasia Region

The protestand free church’s second facility was added in the early 1990s. The international management acquired the old town hall in Buesingen and set up the management of the “Eurasia Region”. The Eurasia Region comprises all Europe, the States of the former Soviet Union, the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent.

The living, schooling and seminar facilities in the back part of the Bible school premises can’t be seen from Buesingen’s main road.

Today the international church management of the “Eurasia Region” is located in Buesingen’s old town hall.

A lot of international guests come to Buesingen because of the college and the church management. Each year, for example, a “leadership conference”, whith an everage of about 150 guests from all over the world, is held in January. Further diverse seminars, meetings and other events are held there.

All these facilities need to be taken care of. That’s why the Nazarene Church became the biggest employer in Buesingen in the meantime. Klaus Arnold, manager of the bible school:” We feel very much at home in Buesingen and we actively take part in the village life. Amongst others our people are belong to the local fire department, the local football club, sports club and other groups and clubs.
